We have a cat, not our cat mind you, but a cat in the cellar. He snuck in somehow. And it is a male; as evidenced by the smell in our storage room and one corner of the cellar. According to his aroma, he feels he should be the dominant male in the cellar, not Clyde!
Clyde will not be happy that I’ve posted this, but I think it’s hilarious. I discovered the cat because I went to work earlier than normal this morning and heard this pathetic meowing coming from the cellar. I would have thought it was our cat, Spark, but she was sitting just outside the saleroom door, and the meow definitely came from downstairs. So I headed down there saying kitty kitty kitty. And low and behold a body-less meow came from a corner. Of course I didn’t reach into the corner, just in case he’s not friendly! I have no idea how long he’s been down there, but the cellar has been closed up for at least a week – poor guy. On the other hand, I’m sure he’s taken care of any mice around!
Today the cellar door was left open in hopes that this guy will leave, and I can commence smell-abatement! Ah the exciting times of the winery!
On another note, I will be sending out our email newsletter tomorrow, so be sure to check your inbox for it. Cheers everyone!
