That’s Danene Beedle, the Marketing Specialist for the Missouri Grape & Wine Program. This woman is awesome. She can organize 5 events, pour ten bottles of wine, and take out red wine stains from the carpet all at the same time. AND she never ‘talks smack’ about me, even when I probably deserve it. PLUS she’s gorgeous. Hey, wait, she’s so good I should hate her. Truth be told, she can only organize 3 events while she pours 10 bottles of wine.
But seriously, she does a great job promoting the wines in our state, and I was super excited yesterday to find out that she has her own blog. She is the Missouri Wine Girl. Ooooooooh, I love that title! Way better my recently dubbed title ‘Wife of Winery’. I can’t believe I missed the fact that she has a blog for so long….especially with a name like that. She has all kinds of information and observations about missouri wine, events, and life in general on her blog.
To celebrate her blog (belatedly!) I’m giving away some blog candy. You could be the lucky winner of four fabulous Peaceful Bend wine glasses (two white wine and two champagne glasses). To enter, just click on over to Danene’s blog, and find the answer to the following question:
What does Danene recommend using to take out a red wine stain?
Once you know the answer, come on back here and put the answer in the comments section for this post. The deadline to answer is Friday, June 27 at 11:50 pm Central time. I’ll put all the correct answers in a hat to draw a winner and then announce that winner on Saturday morning. That’s it! Easy peasy.
And if you’d like to share your stain remedies in the comment, feel free. I’ll add mine right now…..I got yucky charcoal-grill grease all over a pair of kakhi shorts the other day and got the whole mess out with Crisco. I just rubbed the Crisco on the greasy parts, let it set for a couple hours while I poured red wine all over a different pair of shorts, then tossed the greasy shorts in the washing machine and washed like normal. The grease came right out and you’d never know I was such a klutz by looking at the washed shorts.
Good luck everyone!

Answer: Club soda or just plain soap & water.
Katie I still need to find that “wine out” product you were telling me about. I have had good luck with club soda though.
Have a great day!!!

White wine, who knew? I’ll have to try it if I ever spill some red wine, usually it just gets drank at our house.
How about instead of getting the stain out you just buy 4 more bottles of Peaceful Bend wine, pour them into a bucket and soak the stained item in the wine until it is all the same color? How is that for a marketing idea
White wine, i will have to try that.
Hey Katie-
And cheers to everyone who checked out my blog! You Rock!
Thanks for the shout out! Your feature time is coming, wait until I tell the whole world about my favorite celebration wine. Hope Clyde made enough Meramec
White wine. It’s even better if you drink it!
(White Wine) Yes, I just tried it on a carpet mat, and the White Wine took out the Red Wine Stain…. Thanks for the Tip.
WHITE WINE…but I would much rather drink my PBV white then use it to remove a stain….I like Andy’s idea…but wait ,then I would have to waste a bottle (or 4) of PBV red…..oh the dilemma!!! I guess I could just drink the wine out of the bucket after I dyed the garment…..hahaha
