Pepe and A New Contest

Well, we have our puppy now…meet Pepé!

Awwww….there he is discovering the joys of a cicada.  You can expect many cute moments like these when you visit the winery.  Or, he will be asleep.  He does that a lot too.

Cicadas turned out to be a delicacy.  I have no idea what wine to recommend he try with his snack though!

O.k., to celebrate the fact that we finally are settled on the puppy to keep and love forever, I’m holding another easy contest.  Simply leave a comment in this post telling me what wine you would recommend I serve with Cicada.

I’m joking, I’m joking!

Nope, all you have to do to enter is leave a comment to this post telling me your favorite wine (and I won’t cry for too long if it isn’t Peaceful Bend stuff).  You have until midnight Thursday (July 31, central time) to enter.  We’ll put everyone’s name in a hat that leaves a comment and draw for the winner – results to be announced Friday morning.

If this is your first time commenting here, there’s a quickapproval process that we go through, so your comment won’t show up immediately.  Don’t worry though, you’ll still be entered into the contest even if you don’t see the comment right off the bat!  And after the initial approved comment, you’ll be able to comment on any other post without the wait.

Oh, you might like to know what you’ll win.  Since no one entered the last contest, I’ve still got the two glasses from before, PLUS I added two more light-up wine glasses to the prize package.  So you’ll receive FOUR of these fun glasses:

Never lose your wineglass after dark again!  Go ahead and dish about your favorite wine in the comments section below and good luck!  Cheers.

I believe my favorite wine would be Peaceful Bend’s Huzzah Valley. I just recently visited Steelville MO for my wifes grandfathers funeral and visited your Vineyard with her father and think I’ve gotten hooked on Huzzah Valley (hahaha).

My favorite wine? Meramec.. but you can find me sipping on a cold cold glass of Courtois on a hot summer day, yum yum yummy! By the way I think the Norton would go nice with the cicada (especially if it were chocolate covered) hahaha

Well last Sunday at the Empty Bowl-a-thon I had a glass of Chardonel that not just good but might be classed as out -of-this-world. In as much as Pepe has such elitest taste I feel you should give him an elitest wine.! Mom

Courtois!! Goes without saying – by the way, I will be stopping by some time hopefully this weekend to get a case or two. Heading to the lake, hope to stop either on the way there, or on the way back.
Now, if I had that cicada, dipped in DARK chocolate – it would definitely be the Norton!!
No one does it better than you & Clyde Katie – but I don’t have to tell you that again!
    Cheers!!

My favorite Peaceful Bend wine is Meramec undoubtedly! I L-O-V-E it! Alot! I wasn’t aware you made anything else (just teasing :) It is so delicious, complex, yumminess that I save it for special occassions. It was the star of my 2005 birthday celebration and one of the most memorable nights of my life! Thanks Clyde and Katie for making such a delightful wine! Cheers!

I know I’m too late for the contest but here it goes . You have the best Norton that I have tried ( very smooth ) The Huzzah Valley wine is a excellent sweet wine ( goes well with dark chocolate ) Now if you only had that elusive “Cabernet ” Rumor has it that someone with the name that rymes with Hyde that has a Winery near Steeleville makes a very good Cabernet . If you run into this guy tell him I would like a bottle or 2 or …… lol Thanks for making our Missouri experience fun !!! Greg and Mary from Wisconsin aka cheeseheads
