Before I tell you the winner, just a quick note to let you know that I’ll be at the St. Louis Wine Festival on Saturday & Sunday this weekend. Come on out & check out all the tastings, classes, and cooking demos going on!
Now on to the winner:

Wow, I don’t have to count down very far on this list either. Congratulations to Greg, who likes to marinate & baste his chicken with Italian dressing & olive oil. Yummy – Clyde tried with the other night with great success! Greg, please email me your snail mail address, and I’ll get this in the mail to you on Monday.
Amy’s baked chicken sounded delish too, and I’m going to be trying that soon! Thanks so much for playing!
I don’t want honey to feel left out, since this is Chicken AND honey month, so let’s do this again, shall we? This time I have a bottle of honey from MacDonald’s Bee Farm in Jadwin, MO in a cute little bear-shaped jar to give away.
So to enter, just leave a comment on this post telling me how you like to use honey by midnight of Sunday Sept. 28. I’ll be back on Monday with the winner. I’ll start – I love honey on toasted whole wheat bread. It’s a great way to start the morning!
And here’s a little honey, wine & chicken recipe for you:
Orange Honey Chicken
Grate the rind of 1 orange
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup of Courtois
Approx. 2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breasts
Rice – amount according to how many you are serving.
Cook your rice according to the package directions. Slice the chicken breasts into about 1/2 inch thick strips. Boil the orange rind, honey and Courtois in a large skillet. Add the chicken and continue boiling until the chicken strips are cooked through (You may need to add a bit more courtois at this point). Once the chicken is cooked through, remove it to a warm plate. Continue boiling the liquid until it thickens to taste. You can either stir the chicken back into the thickened liquid, then serve over rice or plunk the chicken on top of the rice and drizzle on the sauce. Bon apetit!
Now, I order you to leave a comment to enter this new give away; and then I also order you to have a great weekend! Cheers!
