Newsletter Link & Other Updates

I have three updates for you today, and then I’ll be out of your hair for the weekend (unless you come down to visit us of course!).

Update #1: We are joining with the YMCA strong community campaign this fall.  This campaign is held every year to raise funds for camp and lodge scholarships through the YMCA.  One of our wines, the Forche Renault, is named after the creek at Trout Lodge & Camp Lakewood in Potosi, MO.  So, for every bottle of Forche Renault wine that you buy, we will donate $1 to the campaign!

I’m hoping with your help that we’ll be able to give at least $1,000 this year.  This amount would be enough to send a family to a ‘COPS’ retreat or to Camp Hope at Trout Lodge.  Clyde and I have had a chance to vacation at Trout Lodge each year for the last 6 years or so, and I can attest to how wonderful the scenery, the activities and the staff are at this facility.  I just can’t imagine a better place for kids & their families to get away and relax together.

I realize that many of you don’t really like dry red wines, so if you still want to contribute to the campaign, feel free to visit the YMCA website.  Or I’ll have a collection can out if you want to donate something when you are visiting us here at the winery.

Update #2:  Our October newsletter went out yesterday morning.  If you didn’t receive it, click here for a copy of the newsletter.

If you’re not on the mailing list and want to be, just click here to sign up.

Update #3Elliot Ranney plays tomorrow (Saturday, October 3, 2009) from 1:30-4:30pm, so come on out to enjoy the beautiful fall colors, great music, good friends, and of course, delicious wine!  It looks like it might be a little bit chilly out so we’ll be sure to get the firepits going too.

O.k, that’s it for updates today.  Have a great weekend everyone!  Cheers.
