[the following was emailed to us. not sure what the problem is/was.... perhaps it's from mentioning all those other wineries (just kidding;) but if anyone else has a problem, please don't hesitate to send us a note. we'll do what we can to find and correct the issue, but I'm also happy to post the comment. we love hearing from EVERYONE! -clyde]

Tried to leave a "I'm interested to know" comment, but got a "we do not allow spam comments" when trying to post our note:

Oh, for the love of a really good Norton wine. Wine is for sharing and that makes it a nice part of our lives. Most days finds us with a glass of wine with friends sitting in our rhododendron garden or accompanying a meal. 20 years found us with box wines and raising children, followed by 20 years of zinfandels, cabernet sauvignons, & merlots, but now we are into the next 20 year cycle and we have become more enchanted with what America provides best, ~ be it Norton, Chambourcin, or Chardonel. Yes, you can find nice Norton wines not only in Missouri, but also in Kentucky (Elk Creek), Tennessee (Crown) , Alabama (White Oak), Georgia (Three Sisters), Pennsylvania (Stone Mt. Cellars), and Virginia (Cooper Vineyards).

We usually drink it every eve. Reds in the Winter-Whites and Reds in Summer. Every now and then we go to a place that makes great beer so we do the barley and hops thing. Wine is heart medicine so its important to drink each day. We stick with dry varieties and save Meramec for special occasions. ( Not hard to find a special occasion).

I enjoy a glass of wine each evening, very relaxing. I tend to have a semi-dry wine, but ...my taste is changing toward more of a dryer wine. In winter I drink more red wine and spring/summer more of the white.

I do not drink wine everyday, but really sounds good. Petite Sirah is probably my favorite, but there is nothing like a great zin. I have never met a Chardonnay I liked. Something to do with the taste. When I started drinking wine, if you found a good bottle, you could put it down for 10 years, and it would be still great. Now most red wine is good for 2 - 3 years at the most. I have about 120 bottles at home.
