I do believe that this might be the first time I’ve ever seen daffodils in bloom in February! We have about 3 flowers fully open right now, plus lots of other flower buds that look like they will burst open any day now.
Their sunny blossoms are cheering up the bare winter hillside in front of the winery today!
We bottled up lots of wine on Sunday using Old Woolam Cutom Bottling’s brand-new mobile bottling line. We were able to bottle 173 cases in just 2.5 hours. Woohoo! My friend Terry snapped a few shots of all the action and all the great help.
Brent Baker, owner of the bottling line, keeps an eye on the machine while the bottles are filled, corked, capsuled and labeled.
Our neighbor Rob waits for me to fill cases with the bottled wine and send on down the conveyor so he can stack them on a pallet. At the left you can see Lee Baker, Noel and Tito rinsing empty bottles and putting them on the conveyor line.
The weather was gorgeous on Sunday, so we enjoyed breaks around a firepit in the wine garden. Lee snapped this fun iphone photo of Pepe being especially adorable…
Hope you enjoyed a peek at our Sunday. Cheers!
The Ralley in the 100 Acre Wood is this weekend throughout our region. If you are a race fanatic, come on down and check out the action. Best of luck to all the participants!
Anyone who wants to chill out after all the racing is welcome here at Peaceful Bend. We’ll be open from 11am-6pm thoughout the weekend. Find out more information about the rally by clicking here. You can go directly to the page with printable maps of the race routes and spectator areas by clicking here.
Clyde will be in charge of the salesroom on Saturday since I’m off to teach wine classes at the YMCA Trout Lodge Women’s Wellness Weekend. Sunday I’ll be back and we’ll be bottling one last day on the mobile bottling line. Come check out our speedy bottling action – or just keep me busy so I don’t have to work the line! 😀
Hope to see you this weekend! Cheers!
