WWWW #48

Welcome to Wine Web Wandering Wednesday #48.  WWWW entries are a part of an ongoing series of weekly blog entries that bring wine articles and website links of interest to our blog readers.  Grab a glass of wine, sit back, and catch up on some of the wine stories from the past week.

I hope everyone enjoyed Labor Day Weekend, and are settling back into the swing of things again.  We were wet, wet, wet here at the winery.  But we still stayed busy.  I hope everyone that came out to Peaceful Bend this past weekend enjoyed themselves and can come back soon!

Most of the wine-related links I read this past week were pretty light-hearted.  I guess everyone wanted to enjoy the holiday weekend!  Here are  three I thought you might find interesting:

  • The Kitchn blog delved into guidelines for wine and cheese pairings.  Warning: do not read this if you are hungry – it will only make you more hungry!
  • The Huffington Post tackles debunking 5 wine myths, the first two ‘myths’ I would say are more like wine opinions, but the article is still a good one.
  • If you are having a hard time on this hump day, check out this CBS news article & video about a blind woman from MA that currently runs a successful wine distributorship.  I love her advice at the end of the article.
  • And finally, I discovered a fitness article and video from Self magazine’s website that gives you a workout, and then permission to go have a glass of wine.  I haven’t tried the workout yet so I don’t know how tough it is, but I’m all for the post-workout recovery! :)

That’s it for this post-labor-day WWWW entry.  I hope you enjoyed it and I’ll be back tomorrow with some photos for you.  Cheers!
