Now that the superbowl is finished, I’m turning my attention to the next two holidays this month: Valentine’s Day and President’s Day. I’m planning several red wine posts, chocolate (of course!) recipes, a little history, and ways to incorporate small celebrations in our everyday lives. I hope you’ll follow along with me in February here on the blog and that you’ll enjoy what I share with you.

Since today is the first Monday of the month, I know there are lots of folks pulling out planners and getting organized for the month. For those of you who would like an easy Valentine’s celebration, be sure to mark down February 16 in those planners! We’ll be serving up our wine & chocolate pairings during our normal tasting room hours (while supplies last). Read more about the Wine and Chocolate Pairing Day here.
Of course, Mondays can be crazy as we catch back up from an especially wild weekend, so I wanted to share an easy way to unwind at the end of the day and celebrate making it through another Monday.

One of my favorite ways to relax is ‘lots of love’. This just means that I take a minute or two and show some love to someone else. I’ll give Clyde a hug, or just spend a little extra time petting the dogs and cats. Nothing is quite as gratifying as Polly’s purring or Pepe reaching his paw out for a few more pats.
If I have time, it’s always great to call a friend or family member who I haven’t chatted with for a while (sharing a glass of wine over the miles!). If I don’t completely forget about my woes, I at least have a chance to get a new perspective on them.
I hope this ‘lots of love’ tip helps you unwind from a hectic Monday. What are your favorite, quick ways to unwind (with or without wine)?
Cheers!

Petting Riley is the best. (with or without wine).
Matter of fact I think I will put him on my lap right now.
Love my little Peke!
Awww – say hi to Riley for us. Hey, how did the job search go?
