I’m so looking forward to the chance to enjoy spring temperatures and outdoor events here in our wine garden finally. This winter has certainly been a brutally cold one (though I realize that those of you in points North had it much worse), and I think we all need to celebrate surviving it!
So to celebrate, we’ll be hosting live music this Saturday (April 5, 2014) starting at 1:30pm. Tim Bond is the featured musician, and has played out here a few times before, so some of you may recognize him. Lately, he’s been playing with his brother David – a bass player from the St. James area – who will be joining him on several songs. I’m looking forward to hearing the new duo! They play a variety of musical styles, but tend toward the folk rock and blues side of the musical spectrum.
You can bring food with you as usual, but I’ve also arranged to have salads & sandwiches available to purchase in the tasting room, catered by Cuba Lakes. Here are the choices (while supplies last) for this coming weekend:
- Assorted Sandwiches & chips $8.99 – Chicken Salad, Turkey & Swiss Cheese, or Ham & American Cheese.
- Dinner Salad $9.99 – Traditional Chef Salad (ham, turkey, cheese, tomatoes, egg, and croutons) or Strawberry Feta Salad (spring mix topped with straberries, feta cheese, red onions, & almonds); both served with a house dressing.
And if this turns out to be popular, I will be working with Cuba Lakes more this spring to bring a variety of lunches in for upcoming events.
I hope you can join us this weekend! Cheers!
