Here at Peaceful Bend, we’ve always taken inspiration from nature and the resources that surround our beautiful area. We’ve taken pride in creating distinctive wine blends named after the rivers and creeks that flow through and around the idyllic town of Steelville. We also craft two beers available on draft for our patrons to enjoy. Plus, as of 2023, our brand-new adventure/passion is distilling rum!
Find our current offerings below, and make time to visit us for a tasting. Most days, no reservations are needed, and you’ll want to plan to stay to enjoy everything we offer once you find a favorite (or three!).
White Wines:
- Courtois : a dry white, light acidity and medium body. Apple, melon and floral notes make this wine a fantastic pairing with trout, brie, and pickled vegetables
- Dry Creek: a dry white, barrel-fermented and sur lie aged white perfect for smoked fish, pork, or full-flavored cheeses.
- Harvest Mist: a semi-dry white blend with flavors reminiscent of honey and oranges. Pair this wine with fruit desserts, salads, or grilled brats.
- Whittenburg : a semi-sweet white with a medium body. Floral & tropical notes make for a surprisingly complex wine. Pairs deliciously with spicy foods, salads of all kinds, and oranges.
Red Wines:
- Forche Renault: Dry red Syrah with just a touch of oak fermentation to add flavor, but not long in oak to keep it on the lighter side. This treatment favors peppery notes that pair perfectly with beef or pork.
- Yadkin Creek : A lighter, friendly, semi-dry Malbec, done exclusively in stainless steel tanks to preserve the fruity notes. Delicious when paired with Thai food or anything with raspberries.
Rose Wine:
- Huzzah Valley: For anyone who loves fruity, sweet styles, our Catawba-based rose is the perfect match for your taste buds!
Red Moose Vineyard Label: Starting in late 2024, we will be offering a line of wines we have made directed by local vineyard, Red Moose. These wines will be available exclusively in our tasting room. All dry, all crafted from local Missouri-grown grapes, and all exceptional.
- Red Moose Vineyard Vintner’s Reserve Chambourcin
- Red Moose Vineyard Vidal Blanc
- Red Moose Vineyard Limberlost (dry white, stainless steel production)
- Red Moose Vineyard Aloha (dry rosè made from Chambourcin grapes)
Beers:
- Gold Ale: a golden-hued, single malt, single hop beer refreshingly perfect for summer days.
- Bronze Ale: a malty, dark beer similar to a porter. Drink this if you love flavor and rich texture.
Spirits:
- Hill Dew: Yep, Hill Dew, and not just in a pinch either. We may love a good pun, but we are seriously proud of this silver-style rum made from whole cane sugar. Perfect for your tiki drinks or a vodka substitute in bloody marys or mules.
- Yule Dew: It might sound like it’s smacking of holiday desperation, but this highly sippable spiced rum packs in the flavor that will leave your taste buds so satisfied.
